About the artwork:
The artwork depicts the Liljestrand house, an iconic example of mid-century modern architecture by Vladimir Ossipoff. Built high up on the Tantalus hill in Honolulu, the house offers a stunning view of the city and ocean beyond, surrounded by lush tropical greenery.
This scene reflects the harmony of mid-century architecture in warm climates, where geometric lines meet lush, organic surroundings. With its warm greens and browns, it conveys both the beauty of nature and the elegance of design.
