Diamond Head seen from Wilhelmina Rise
High quality fine art giclée print on archival textured watercolor paper, based on my ink and watercolor illustration.
About the artwork:
When I lived in Kaimuki, Honolulu, I spent a lot of time strolling around the steep streets of Wilhelmina rise. I love observing peopleʻs houses, their architecture and decorative details reflecting the personality of their occupant. The sight of these surfboards displaying house numbers, stuck in the ground among birds of paradise with Diamond Head in the backround, always made me smile and struck me as quintessential of Honolulu and Hawaii.
